Democratizing Predictive Growth: Q&A with Tzahi Zilbershtein

Team Voyantis

The move from Google to Voyantis, and what he’s building for growth marketers next

Long before Tzahi Zilbershtein joined Google, he was solving problems: the kind most people don't think technology can fix.

Take airport lines, for example. Everyone knows the pain: standing in security queues, waiting to drop off your bag, wondering if you should've arrived earlier. Instead of complaining about it, Tzahi built a predictive model to forecast airport crowds, then turned it into a website so everyone could avoid the chaos.

That's Tzahi in a nutshell. See a problem, build a solution, make it accessible.

As Voyantis's new Chief Technology Officer, Tzahi’s bringing that same approach to one of performance marketing's biggest challenges: efficient growth. We sat down with Tzahi to discuss why he made the move, what drew him to Voyantis, and what he's building next.

Q: You’ve just joined us after many years at Google. What stands out most from your time there?

I joined Google in 2019, initially focused on emerging markets before eventually leading Ads solution engineering across EMEA. My job was to build custom technical solutions to help the platform's largest advertisers get the most value out of Google Ads.

The problems we tackled were incredibly varied, from building systems that integrated CRM data into Google Ads to automating industry-specific bidding strategies. But across the board, I saw firsthand how well predictive growth can work. Not just for one industry or one type of business, but for global airlines, hospitality companies with thousands of properties, SaaS brands, and many others.

The scope varied widely, but the impact was consistent: brands that implemented predictive strategies saw real, measurable improvements in campaign performance.

Q: What drew you to Voyantis?

When I was at Google, I worked with major brands on predictive growth. These capabilities were incredibly powerful, but only available to the top advertisers in the world.

Voyantis is democratizing that expertise. The team has built sophisticated predictive AI alongside the infrastructure needed to influence how ad platforms operate and the workflows that help teams adopt confidently. That kind of technical depth takes years of experimentation and investment to develop.

What excites me most is the challenge ahead: using AI to better understand client data at scale. Often, even advertisers themselves don't fully understand their own data. My goal is to use AI to understand the context of each customer, their marketing channels, and their data, then bring it all together to maximize their marketing efforts.

It's not an easy problem, but it's exactly what I'm here to solve.

Q: Why is predictive growth so hard to build in-house?

When companies try to do predictive growth on their own, it can take years. During that time, the product is changing, the business is changing, and the platforms are changing. It's continuous work that requires data scientists, engineers, marketing teams, and more.

What most companies don't realize is that it’s not just about having the best model. Success lies in creating a streamlined process that monitors for data drift, adapts as platforms evolve, and keeps models aligned with how Google and Meta actually optimize.

Q: What’s our edge at Voyantis?

We see patterns that individual brands can't because we work with so many clients across industries and channels. One company might be able to create the perfect model, but they don't know what others are doing or how to handle ramping up different channels.

Voyantis has much more context for building the best models and providing maximum value. If we solve something for one client, we can quickly bring those learnings to other clients and adapt them for their unique needs. That's something teams building in-house or inexperienced vendors can't match.

Q: What’s your vision for the engineering team here?

I'm building the team around three core principles. The first is engineering excellence. We should only be using the most up-to-date technologies to advance Voyantis. This will allow us to stay at the cutting edge.

Next, I think it’s very important that we stay as close as possible to the business. We don't develop for the sake of developing. We're here to solve business problems with technology. Follow the business and the rest will follow.

Lastly and most importantly, I want to build a team of happy people. It's really important for people to enjoy coming to work, to feel they're growing and learning new things every day, stretching their skills to the maximum so they feel they're making an impact.
